JUNIOR COUNTY PROGRAMME
County Coaching is available to selected players from age 5-18. Each age group has a County Captain who takes monthly training sessions at the weekend. The training acts as preparation for national events such as the Aegon County Cup and Aegon Premier League. . There are also opportunities for squad players to compete in inter county friendlies throughout the year. Captains are always keen to look at new players for the squads and where appropriate will invite players to an assessment. If you would like to find out more about the junior county set up please contact Neil Plaskett, Norfolk Junior Teams Lead and Administration Officer on firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are currently coaching a player who may benefit from the above programme please contact Neil on the above email.
Junior players are encouraged to play in fun competition once they have settled into a regular coaching programme.
The best local competition to start in is the Team Tennis Event at Easton & Otley College Tennis Centre. Teams are entered by clubs and although players are competing individually, their scores contribute to overall team result. These events are for players aged 5-10 and are divided into Red, Orange, Green ball categories. Please see timetable of events below:

The programme is subsidies by the LTA, who provide £5000 of funding to help support player development through ages 7-10.
LPDCs are required to ensure that all performance squads are delivered by LTA Level 4/5 coaches at the centre and invite all aspiring juniors to get involved. Players will be encouraged to train and compete more with the aim of progressing to Regional Development Centres.
For more information about how to get involved please contact Neil Plaskett at firstname.lastname@example.org

NEXT COUNTY EVENT: 12 COUNTIES - CORBY (U/10)
Norfolk U/18 Boys applaud Stu Hunter for his fine work and support for the team over the last 10years. Stu has stepped down from his involvement with the team but will hopefully still pop in on training when free. Thanks StuPosted by Norfolk Tennis on Sunday, September 17, 2017
